Indigo Yoga for Children ages 5-11 Fun and
playful Hatha yoga class specifically designed for children of this age
combining breath awareness, warm-up exercises, yoga postures (“asanas”), game
playing, storytelling, inner stillness and visualization practice. Moving
quickly through nature and animal theme postures and balances, the class
promotes strength, flexibility, good posture, good coordination and balance.
I encourage parents to join in making it a shared family experience. |

Beginner’s
Level Hatha Yoga
- Adults & kids ages 12 & up An introduction to the
foundations of yoga philosophy, breathing and basic postures. Therapeutic
Hatha yoga class to reduce stress, increase strength and flexibility, assist
injury recovery and backaches, improve circulation and create peace of mind.
Cleansing and purifying the internal organs, yoga will rebalance a body in
dis-ease and help to maintain an already healthy body. Students learn how to
purify the body and create a strong foundation for themselves. Individualized attention is given
in a supportive encouraging atmosphere. No previous yoga experience is necessary. |

Intermediate
Level Hatha Yoga
- Adults & kids ages 12 & up Yoga philosophy, breathwork and
Beginner/Intermediate yoga postures.
Therapeutic Hatha yoga. Students learn how to work with themselves in
a loving way to restore health on every level (physical, emotional, mental
and spiritual), release tension,
increase strength and flexibility, assist injury recovery and
backaches, improve circulation and create peace of mind. Students learn how to purify the body and create a strong
foundation for themselves. Intermediate
poses and breathwork. Pre-requisite Recommended: Previous yoga
experience or Gentle Yoga, Fridays 11:45 a.m. Individualized
attention is given in a supportive encouraging atmosphere. |

Ashtanga Yoga - Beginning
Adults & kids, ages 12 & up Ashtanga Yoga Philosophy,
Breathwork and Vinyasa posture practice. Students begin learning the 1st
series yoga asana practice. A combination of relaxation techniques with a
traditional sequence of postures, moving with the breath, to cleanse, stretch
and strengthen the entire body. Balance, flexibility, energy levels and
concentration all improve with self-honoring consistent practice.
Ashtanga is a vigorous style of yoga and students do well when they have had
a Hatha Yoga introduction prior to beginning this practice. Recommended
Pre-requisite: Previous Ashtanga Yoga experience or Sunday Noon Hatha Yoga.
O.k. for kids with no yoga experience. This class is designed to prepare
the student to practice the 1st Series of Ashtanga Yoga. Yoga
asana and basic pranayama are taught in the style of Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois of
Mysore, India. |

pranayama are taught in the style of Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore,
